General Manager (Commercial Conservation Services)
Commercial Conservation Services operates in a highly specialised technical area, delivering commercial conservation programs and carrying out conservation work for the University of Melbourne’s collections, and for both private and corporate clients. Areas of conservation specialisation include paper and photographic materials, paintings, frames, objects and textiles. Staff also contribute to the academic and research programs of the Grimwade Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation at the University.
The General Manager will lead the development and implementation of the CCS business planning strategy in collaboration with the Grimwade Centre and UoMC, ensuring that structure, systems and processes are best aligned to enhance and develop business efficiency and effectiveness, and grow CCS’s capacity. This planning will be annualised throughout the life of the plan and will be reflected in staff goal agreements and reported on regularly. The incumbent has ultimate responsibility for the commercial, teaching, research and quality outcomes of the business.
The General manager will proactively and constructively lead two direct reports, and implement and model high standards of work performance and accountability
